An excellent new hidden object adventure game by Gamehouse – Campfire Legends: The Hookman caught my interest. In this game they used a well known urban legend about “man with a hook for a hand”.
A courageous Christine Lewis a 50′s college student arrives to the cabin in the woods to spend some quality time with her boyfriend. Sounds perfect? No, the trouble is on the way. Patrick is suspiciously absent, the cabin is trashed and someone is watching her. Add rumours about escaped convict and your hidden object game got really scary.
Once Christine realizes she needs something to continue her brave search of Patrick the object is added to the list of hidden objects at the bottom of the screen. Mind that the object could be at any location. Search for hidden object carefully. Use fireflies to uncover hints. Simply click one and the location of a hidden object will be revealed. Little insects will be an excellent source of tips and help in puzzles solving. Once you used one another will be generated elsewhere. A convenient pest to have around surely!
The artwork of the game is superb with lots of partially animated scenes that help to create a great atmosphere for the lovers of the genre. Prepare to get scared!
